Management

Lantibio's operations mangement is comprised of two key drug development executives, Dr. Luis Molina and Terry Williams Laliberte with the support of an experienced corporate controller, Susan Reyer, CPA.  The management team brings expertise and background in drug discovery, development, business development, and project management, with a cumulative experience in excess of 40 years within the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare financing.  The Lantibio team is advised by an Executive Board representing Paramount BioSciences, an intergrated drug development firm and life sciences merchant bank.  The membership of this Executive Board brings a high level of experience from the pharmaceutical, business, and financing industries.

Luis Molina, Ph.D., Founder, President, CSO, and Director - Dr. Molina founded Lantibio, Inc. (formerly MoliChem Medicines , Inc.) in 1995 and has served as President and CEO. While at Burroughs Wellcome Company, he invented and showed proof of principle for the use of Moli1901 for the treatment of cystic fibrosis and was its International Project Leader (1992-1995). He is also one of the inventors for the use of transition metal complexes in septic shock and was Program Leader at Burroughs Wellcome Company (1992-1995) in this therapeutic area. He was Principal Investigator for an NIH SBIR grant (1998-2001) and also Principal Investigator for a grant received from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (1998-2002). During his twenty-two year career, he has authored 36 publications and 12 patents and worked in leading managerial and scientific positions. He earned a Ph.D. degree at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina for work performed on inhibitors of protein kinases working at the Foundation Campomar as a member of a research team directed by the Nobel Laureate Luis F. Leloir and at INGEBI under Dr. H.N. Torres.

Terry Williams Laliberte, B.S., Director of Development, and Director - Ms. Laliberte has served as Secretary of the Board of Lantibio since January 2001 after joining the company in 1997 and was appointed to the Board in 2007. Prior to joining Lantibio, she served in operations and leadership roles at Burroughs Wellcome Co. in both Clinical Research and drug development strategic management positions (1983-1995). At Burroughs Wellcome, Ms. Laliberte served as an International Project Manager, where she managed the implementation of strategic plans toward worldwide development of compounds in the therapeutic areas of Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Central Nervous System, and Psychiatry, as well as compounds designated as acute care interventions, including Moli1901. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences and Education from Campbell University and has pursued advanced education in the areas of international drug development.
